Dear Community is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for girls aged 18-35 to connect and build meaningful relationships. As a non-profit organisation based in New Zealand, our mission is to create a welcoming space where individuals can be themselves.

In this blog post, we address our terms and conditions, highlighting our policies on refunds, our commitment to inclusivity, and the behavioural expectations we uphold.

1. Refund Policy:

   We would like to address the topic of refunds for our RSVP fees and provide some insight into our policy. We understand that there have been questions and concerns raised regarding this issue, and we appreciate your understanding as we clarify our position.

   As a community organisation, our primary goal is to create meaningful and engaging experiences. In order to ensure the success of these events, it is crucial for us to accurately estimate the number of participants in advance. Unfortunately, in the past, we have encountered situations where individuals who registered for an event did not show up, resulting in wasted resources and missed opportunities for others who wanted to attend.

   To address this challenge, we made the decision to implement an RSVP fee. By charging a nominal fee to secure your spot, we aim to encourage a greater level of commitment from our community members. This helps us better plan and allocate resources accordingly, ensuring a well-organised and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

   We understand that circumstances can change, and unexpected events may arise that prevent you from attending an event you've paid for. However, we kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to offer refunds for RSVP fees. This policy is in place to ensure fairness and to protect the integrity of our events. You are more than welcome to find a replacement that will refund you, but this is up to you, not our leaders.

   It is essential to note that all funds collected from RSVP fees go directly toward covering event-related expenses, such as venue rentals, materials, food and facilitators. Please keep in mind we are a nonprofit organisation that is currently funded through these events.

2. Creating a Safe Environment: Dear Community places paramount importance on creating a safe and inclusive environment. We expect all attendees to uphold a standard of kindness, respect, and care for one another. Bullying, abuse, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated. We are committed to fostering an atmosphere where individuals feel supported, valued, and free to be themselves.

3. Inclusivity and Attendance: Dear Community is committed to welcoming participants from diverse backgrounds. While we acknowledge that there is a range of identities, Dear Community is designed for cisgender women so we can facilitate open conversations and shared experiences that are particularly relevant to their lived experiences. It allows for the exploration of topics and issues that may be specific to these groups. We strive to create an environment where all individuals feel respected, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. By engaging in thoughtful conversations and understanding one another's perspectives, we can work together to foster a community that is both supportive and inclusive.

4. Attendance Expectations: When individuals commit to attending our events, we expect them to follow through with their commitment. By doing so, they contribute to the overall experience and facilitate the establishment of meaningful connections. We encourage all participants to be punctual, respectful, and considerate of others' time and effort.

5. Dear Community is rooted in conservative morals and beliefs, which guide our decision-making process when it comes to selecting and organising events. It is important to note that Dear Community is not associated to a religious group, there is no misleading intentions. We wanted to be transparent with our attendees to note where our beliefs and morals stem from. We strive to create a space that upholds our values of inclusivity, respect, and empowerment for all participants. is guided by a set of values that shape our decisions and event offerings. It is important to note that there are some events that we do not participate. These choices are made based on our commitment to maintaining an environment that aligns with our values and promotes inclusivity, and to not promote any events that may be deemed as offensive or promiscuous. Our intention is to create events that are accessible and welcoming to individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and respected. We believe that inclusivity means providing an atmosphere where individuals of diverse beliefs and perspectives can come together, share experiences, and build connections. While specific events may not align with our values, it is crucial to emphasise that our decision is rooted in preserving an inclusive space rather than excluding any particular group. Behavioural Guidelines: In order to maintain a positive and inclusive environment, we have established behavioural guidelines for all attendees. These guidelines include:
